Sunset In Australian Cricket
Australian Golden Era is over in world cricket now. This is what i think. Australia has ruled world cricket for a long time. They got some of the finest players of the game. Warne, McGrath, Gilchrist were indomitable in their times. Winning two World Cups consecutively and remaining as the number test team for the highest time, Australia created history. But their golden time is diminishing slowly. Now there is no McGrath and no Warne. You will not see a wicketkeeper batsman like Gilchrist. Ricky Ponting is not able to make for these great players. Now Australia has lost two back to back test series, One against India and the other against South Africa in their home ground. Losing a home series is a serious matter. Now the responsibility on Australian skipper will increase more. It will be a really hard work to bring Australia to its way of winning. Otherwise South Africa is there to take the flag from Australia.
