Australian opener Mathew Hayden has retired recently on 13th January. He played a vital role in Australian Cricket team. Hayden was well known to all as an aggressive batsman. His golden career includes 30 test centuries and a test average of 50.13.Hayden was the member of Australia’s World Cup winning cricket team for twice. He formed a dangerous opening pair with Gilchrist. The two are known as the best opening pair in the history of cricket. Once he became the highest run scorer in an innings beating the record of Brian Lara. His epic innings of 380 against Zimbabwe is unforgettable and a milestone of his career. Hayden is the one who introduced power batting in cricket. This giant has really left behind memorable footsteps to the new generation.
