IPL finds home in South Africa
IPL has finally found is destination in South Africa. The popular twenty-twenty league which started in India was in doubt for a long time. As the general elections in India were clashing with the IPL schedules, the tournament was likely to be postponed to next year. However the discussion between IPL and BCCI heads opened a solution and it was decided that the most hyped tournament will be held outside India. But then two options came, England and South Africa. In this battle South Africa won and got the opportunity to hold the tournament. The main factors that decided the IPL venue were the cost and the weather. IPL chief Lalit Modi found the South African Hotels cheaper. Also the cold weather of London made way for South Africa. This has come as a great relief. However IPL will miss the home crowd. Now the matches will be telecasted at 4PM and 8PM according to Indian Clock.
