Spectacular Finish to Formula One 2009 Season in Abu Dhabi

Formula one season 2009 saw an spectacular ending in the amazing Yas Marina circuit of Abu Dhabi. Red Bull drivers Sebastian Vettel and Mark Webber made a 1-2 finish followed by World Champion Jensen Button and Barichello of Brawn Mercedes. It was an amazing race in a dazzling circuit. For the first time in the history, Abu Dhabi held a day-night race. The Crown of the Yas Marina circuit was the sight of the race which dazzled like a purple diamond. The Abu Dhabi race saw a dramatic battle between Jensen Button and Mark Webber in the last seconds when the former tried to overtake. But Webber held his nerve and managed to finish second ahead of new Champion Jensen Button.

It was another disappointing day for Lewis Hamilton who started the race from pole postion. Due to a problem in his brake, he had to end his race in the middle. Ferrari was also disappointed by Kimi Raikkonen who finished 12th.Former champion Alonso also failed score any points. Formula one 2009 discovered a new world Champion Jensen Button. Brawn Mercedes proudly claimed both Driver’s and Constructor titles. Button was followed by Sebastian Vettel and Barichello. The final race in Abu Dhabi saw many celebrities. The Ferrari room saw the presence of Michael Schumacher and Felipe Massa. Super model Naomi Campbell was also present. Hamilton’s friend Nicole Scherzinger was also seen there.

Michael Schumacher is back to Formula One racing

Well, well, well. There is some great news for the formula one lovers. The King of Formula one racing, Michael Schumacher is back to F1 racing. The seven time formula one champion who holds all the records in Formula One racing is back to the Ferrari team now. He is going to take the place of injured Brazilian driver Felipe Massa in the next race in Valencia. The return of the king has created a wave across the world now. The Ferrari fans have gone mad with this news. Michael Schumacher who has achieved all the milestones in formula one racing retired in the year 2006.Ferrari officials confirm that he will undergo a fitness test before the European Grand Prix. This season, however, Ferrari has not been able to dominate the circuit. So the return of Schumacher has brought in many expectations for the Ferrari fans. Schumacher who gave a new dimension to formula one racing is the one who established Ferrari as a major racing team. So the return of the giant is expected to bring Ferrari back to the track.

Felipe Massa out of danger

There is a good news for the fans of Formula One and of Brazilian Felipe Massa that the Brazilian Driver is out of danger now and is recovering at good pace. Massa suffered from a serious head injury during the practice session of the Hungarian Grand Prix. The injury led to a fracture in the skull. Now Massa has been reported to doing well. He has even showed responses to questions that he has been asked. He went through the surgery successfully. Now he in the intensive care unit and the doctors have said that he is recovering very quickly. The prayers of thousands of Massa fans have resulted in his rapid recovery. However he may not be available in the remaining races of the season as the doctors have advised him take rest.

Hungarian Grand Prix-Hamilton books first victory of the season

Lewis Hamilton finally breaks the jinx by winning the Hungarian Grand Prix. The last year Formula One Champion could win any race earlier. This season Jensen Button of Brawn Mercedes has won the most races pushing Hamilton, Massa and Kimi Raikkonen to the back foot. Hamilton finally became able to breaking his losing streak. He was followed by Ferrari driver Raikkonen. Hamilton’s win came as a surprise win for McLaren. Alonso who got the pole position earlier could not finish his race. The Hungarian Grand Prix was missed by Brazilian Felipe Massa who went through a Head injury during the practice session .His condition has been reported to be stable now. Hamilton’s win has brought back hopes for McLaren Team. However Brawn Mercedes and Red Bull are still dominating the list.

Rain Decides Malaysian Grand Prix

The Formula One race in the Sepang circuit of Malaysia will be remembered forever. This race was decided not by the performance of the drivers but by the weather in Malaysia. The heavy downpours in Malaysia made the officials stop the race in the middle when there were still 23 laps to go. Earlier the race was full of excitements. Jensen Button was leading from the beginning. When there were 23 laps to go the rains came so heavily that the race had to be stopped for ten minutes. But the rains did not seem to stop. So the race has to be decided at that moment. Jensen Button who was leading until the stop was declared the winner. Nick Heidfield of BMW Sauber and Timo Glock of Toyota got the second and third position respectively. Kimi Raikkonen was driving amidst water for a long time. This was really a rare case in Formula One history when rains become the deciding factor.
