Federer won the Australian open for the fourth time and has now won 16 grand slams in total. Federer defeated Murray in straight sets of 6-3, 6-4 and 7-6.Murray could not live up to the class of Federer. Federer produced some great aces and winners to keep the domination on Murray. He claimed the first two sets quite comfortably. In the third set, Murray put up a great come fight after breaking Federer’s service. But Federer did not let Murray to go away with the set. He came back strongly and ultimately won it in tie breaker in the ninth game. Although Murray got some good chances to win the tie-breaker, he could not pull it to the fourth set. Both of them produced some stunning tennis to the delight of the tennis fans. Federer looked quite cool and calm thorought the game. During the ceremony, Murray got quite emotional. He said sorry to all his supporters as he could not give them the title. Federer complimented Murray with his soothing words. He said that Murray has a great future ahead. Federer thanked Murray for taking out the best out of him.

Now in such critical situations, if a mistake is to decide the results then it is a real shame for game of football. Without doubt, there is no other big achievement for any country than to play in the World Cup Finals. But who is to blame for that? You can not blame Henry. His death is a huge loss to the game of cricket. This gentle man had a great time in cricket and was the most significant figure on the cricket field. His cheer presence on the field was a great sight for the cricket lovers. He died after a long battle of cancer. He stood in 92 Test matches and 172 ODIs before retiring in the year 2005. His death has come as a big blow to the cricket lovers all over the world.

David Shepherd has been greatly admired by all those related to the game of cricket. He had a quite long career as an umpire from 1983 to 2005.He umpired in three World Cup finals. Born in England he used to play first class cricket. But when didn’t get any good results from playing cricket he took up the career of umpiring. This took him to new level.

He was well known for his act of standing on one leg or hopping when the score board saw the Nelson number 111 or multiples of it. He believed that this Nelson number is unlucky. Let us pay tribute to this gentleman who will always be reminded.

The inaugural ceremony saw some amazing musical performance mixed with martial arts exhibition, acrobatic shows and cultural performances. The laser show and the fireworks were just incredible.

The start of the ceremony saw the captains of the participating teams standing together after they left their hand prints in clay-boards. Lalit Modi, the chairman of IPL, delivered a passionate speech to the big crowds gathering at the Chinnaswamy Stadium.

Pop singer Shaggy, British singer Jamelia and Chaka Khan delivered an amazing musical performance. Jamelia sang her career best single ‘Superstar’. The martial arts artists from Shaolin Temple of China showed their skills. The Japanese drummers set the stage into vibration with their energetic performance.

The opening ceremony came to an end with some spectacular fireworks. Thousands of firecrackers lit up the Chinnaswamy Stadium and sent a message to the world that Champions League T-20 has started.

The chimney was going to be constructed to a height of 275 meters but it collapsed after reaching the height of 100 meters. The rescue operation is still on. Guns N Roses is considered as one of the biggest rock band in the history of rock. I don’t have to talk much about the band .The rock numbers like Sweet Child of Mine, November rain, Civil war, Paradise City, Estranged and many other songs created wave across the world in the nineties. So it is a dream for every rock fan to watch this great band perform live in your city. I personally find it difficult to believe that i would one day see them perform live. Now they are sure to perform in Bangalore. However they may extend their tour to Mumbai and Delhi. Guns N Roses Lead singer and front man Axl Rose is sure to perform. But it is not sure whether Guitar maestro Slash would be available or not. If both Slash and Axl Rose come then it will surely set the stage on fire.
