Well i am also a music freak. I listen to all types of music but i have a strong liking towards Rock Music. So let me start with Rock music.If you want to hear old Rock numbers then you should listen to bands The Beatles, Deep Purple, Iron Maiden, Pink Floyd, Black Sabbath, Megadeth, etc. These are hard rock bands. Pink Floyd is a Psychedelic Rock band which is considered as one of the biggest Rock Band ever. Among the classical rock bands CCR( Credence Clearwater Revival),the Eagles, and the Doors can be mentioned. The song from the band CCR named Have You Ever Seen the Rain is one my favorites. Ozzy Osbourne is also a pioneer of hard rock numbers. The rock numbers like Crazy Train and Paranoid are one of the best creations by Ozzy Osbourne.The biggest rock band in the nineties were the Guns and Roses and Metallica. Guns and Roses created wave across the world. The magic of Axl Rose(lead singer) and Slash(lead guitarist) created many great rock numbers. Then Metallica came to gift the rock world with a new genre of rock called Heavy Metal. After the Guns and Roses, Nirvana led by Kurt Cobain created a new era. Nirvana produced another new rock genre called Alternate Rock or Grunge Rock. The album Nevermind became one of the best selling albums of all time. After the Nirvana era, punk rock started to become more popular. In this case Green Day and Avril Lavigne impressed a lot. In the present era Cold Play and Def Leppard is leading the line with many hit albums. If you want to listen to some really heavy and hard Metal numbers then you may listen to Korn, Marlyn Mansion etc.Now a days I have started listening to Audio Slave and Travis. They have also produced some great rock numbers. I will write about other genres later.

The most exciting news for the Indian rock fans is these days is that revolutionary rock band Guns N Roses is going to Rock India in November next. Guns N Roses is considered as one of the biggest rock band in the history of rock. I don’t have to talk much about the band .The rock numbers like Sweet Child of Mine, November rain, Civil war, Paradise City, Estranged and many other songs created wave across the world in the nineties. So it is a dream for every rock fan to watch this great band perform live in your city. I personally find it difficult to believe that i would one day see them perform live. Now they are sure to perform in Bangalore. However they may extend their tour to Mumbai and Delhi. Guns N Roses Lead singer and front man Axl Rose is sure to perform. But it is not sure whether Guitar maestro Slash would be available or not. If both Slash and Axl Rose come then it will surely set the stage on fire. We will have to wait for sometime to know clearly who’s gonna perform here.

No one on earth has earned so much fame and popularity till date. So his untimely death has shaken the whole world. Michael Jackson who earned phenomenal success with his album Thriller. Thriller set the world to dancing. His live performances on the stage created the concept of concerts. He created a dancing revolution by introducing Moon Walk in Billy jean. The world was really amazed by his extraordinary talent. Definitely he gave a new Dimension to Music and Videos. Now his untimely death astounded the whole world. It was really a shocking news as the world was preparing for a come back tour from the king.
Now you may see the death of MJ has added another name to the list of young talents that diminish in a very short period. We can remember Nirvana famed Kurt Cobain who shot himself to death at the age of 37.Same was the case when Lady Diana who captivated the whole world with her divinely beauty died at a very young stage. Hollywood Siren Marilyn Monroe also died a mysterious death at a very young age. These incidents make someone to ask the question: Whether these people die naturally or they frame their death? Or does God want these extraordinary talents to shine short?

Now there are hardly any bands that can really rock. Still in these days of drought there are bands like Cold Play which is creating wave all over. I think Cold Play is the only flag bearer of rock music now. They have given some unforgettable numbers like Yellow, Scientist etc. Their latest album Viva La Vida has broken the entire previous records world wide. This album will rock you like a hurricane. I am sure about that.
